In spite of the weather, Nathan Kensinger with 20 attendees participating led the inaugural second walk of his new Harlem River Walking Series with NYC H2O. Mostly participants were from upper Manhattan, and also from nearby Bronx neighborhoods. Almost everyone had not been to Mill Pond Park, but had some awareness of the Harlem River. And no one had seen the new waterfront esplanades at Bankside! They were all interested to learn more about the resiliency measures, and had lots of questions about the Oak Point Link, the rezonings, and all the waterfront plans, including Lower Concourse Park and the greenway plan.
Thanks to CM Stevens and the Hudson River Foundation and NY/HJ Estuary Program for sponsoring this community walk series.
