Thank you to the 25 volunteers who helped clean Canarsie Park and Paerdegat Basin shoreline by removing 700 lbs of trash! This included thousands of pieces of food packaging and microplastics washed ashore by the tide. This cleanup helped remove pollutants and protect critical shorebird nest in the saltmarsh habitat.
