Thankyou to the 50 wonderful volunteers who helped clean Baisley Pond this past Saturday. Together we removed 30 bags of trash totaling 500lbs as well as larger items including 6 large trash can drums, a steel crowd barricade, a sunken CitiBike, a microwave, and a bag of fishing line from the pond and surrounding park.
Special shout out to our program partners NYC Parks, SEQ Cleanup and NY Cares for their support. We’d also like to thank the students and group members who participated from August Martin High School, Thomas A Edison Career and Technical Educational High School SkillsUSA Club, Girl Scout Troop 17 and New Visions Charter High School for Advanced Math and Science IV.
