Thankyou to the 21 wonderful volunteers who cleaned up Alice Austen Park’s Buono Beach! Together removed 600 lbs of trash including a lobster buoy, fishing line and rope, a metal pole, rusted metal sheets and a propane tank.
We’re grateful to Council Member Kamillah Hanks for their support and for their office helping at the cleanup! We’d also like to thank our program partner NRPA as well as support from Partnership for Parks, Alice Austen House Museum, NY Cares and NYC Parks. Special shoutout to all of the students who participated as well on their summer vacation.
