Our first stewardship event of the year was attended by 25 volunteers. Volunteers included local residents and a school group from Cardoza High School. The group used loppers, handsaws, and pole saws to prune invasive multiflora rose along the East Causeway. This effort preserved the safety of the walkway as well as helped stabilize the bluestone walls and historic fences from the stress of invasive roots.
