Ally Malilay

Rabi Scholar at Columbia University with a major in environmental biology, concentrating on ecology and evolution

She enjoys spending her time exploring and learning about marine ecosystems; at the Australian Institute of Marine Science, she studied the predator-prey interactions between the giant triton snail and crown-of-thorns starfish. She has been a teaching assistant and college success mentor at Columbia University's Double Discovery Center for the past three years, and has additional experience as a youth development specialist at the Boys and Girls Club in Santa Barbara, CA. This year, she is studying the coral reef ecology of Tumon Bay in Guam and will spend her summer on island to collect on-site data.
